"Fare thee well, Sir Anon."

However, due to continual abuses of freedom, i have had to deny anonymous comments.
So - baring this in mind - i pose the question... what drives a person to leave anonymous comments?
Is it insecurity?
Is it cowardice?
Is it arrogance?
Is it the "too cool for skool" attitude?
I don't know - and i don't understand it.
But thankfully now it is something I - and the faithful readers of my blog - will be forced to tolerate no more.
Blog on.
James.

Hear Hear. I'm not one to take sides on something like this. But this time, I speak up:
Hear Hear.
Justin.
i was so tempted to leave a comment as anonymous just to rile you up, but i do actually entirely agree with you! i don't understand the point of anonymity. if you're going to say something you're too scared to say as yourself, then perhaps you should not be saying it?
James Says: Thanks for speaking up Moff.
Kate, I can totally imagine you doing something like that! And i bet there are a few who would like to just to rile me, but you wouldn't have been able to leave an anonymous comment as i have disabled them (remember, thats what the post was advertising...)
But yeah - still don't understand it.
I think it's cowardice.
People may want to put a point across though that they don't want to be seen as being biased or judged for saying. Maybe to remain neutral in perception.
But yea...i've never been tempted. Onya James...
ahh whoops - in my amusement at the thought of getting you all riled up and cranky (heheh) i forgot the whole point of the blog... a bit too much enthusiasm!
ive never really had a problem with anonymous comments til recently....weird...anyway, i can see why you take this stand james!
Hey! how did they do that!
James Says: Someone obviously wanted to rile me so much that they created a a profile on blogger called "anonymous".
I just pity that person who has nothing better to do with their lives, and go to that much effort to just try and get on my nerves.
oh man, why didn't i think of that!
I can see how that is very annoying. (But inside of me I did have a little chuckle. I mean going to that effort, its kinda funny).
Anonymous is lame.
